Welcome to Ayr Jazz Club

We are delighted that you have found us on the web.   As a result of two successful jazz festivals in 2003/4, Ayr Jazz Club was founded in 2005 to bring live music to the jazz enthusiasts of all Ayrshire and beyond.  Our festivals continued until 2008 and since those early days we have had the pleasure of listening to a varied range of bands from Dixieland to New Orleans and Trad, as well as music from the 1920 - 30's. For only £10 (members £8) why not come along and enjoy up to 3 hours of scintillating music?  Our next event is shown below.

The club enjoyed a rocking night of superb jazz on 23 June by Martin Bennett's Old Green River Band with Chris Hodgkins (trumpet) leading a great front line alongside stalwart Howard Murray (reeds) and Eric Brierley (trombone) ably supported of course by Martin himself on keyboard, Ed Lloyd Hughes on bass and Bill Buck on drums.
Next month, on 28 July we welcome The Pedigree Jazz Band when they visit Scotland during their "Salute To Trad Jazz" tour.  Ayr Jazz Club are delighted to have been chosen as a venue on their tour.  So get along to Ayr Rugby Club on 28 July and listen to many of the tunes from "The Trad Boom" of the 50'6 and 60's
All club nights now commence at 7.30pm. Full bar available, tea and coffee as usual £1 per item.

Admission for members is still at £8 with visitors at £10.  Further information can be had by telephoning 01292-590773
