Welcome to Ayr Jazz Club

We are delighted that you have found us on the web.   As a result of two successful jazz festivals in 2003/4, Ayr Jazz Club was founded in 2005 to bring live music to the jazz enthusiasts of all Ayrshire and beyond.  Our festivals continued until 2008 and since those early days we have had the pleasure of listening to a varied range of bands from Dixieland to New Orleans and Trad, as well as music from the 1920 - 30's. For only £10 (members £8) why not come along and enjoy up to 3 hours of scintillating music?  Our next event is shown below.

Another fine performance by Mike Daly and his Rhythm Kings on 16 March.
Our next presentation on Friday 20 April gives us an opportunity to feature a new band to the club, in the shape of Chris Perrin's Lazy River Jazz Band.  Chris, himself, is no stranger to Ayr Jazz Club, having featured with Dave Wylie's Hot Six and more recently with Brian Carrick's Heritage Hall Stompers. In his band, Chris, clarinet and saxophone, is joined by wife Veronica on trumpet, Brian Richardson on trombone, Phil Morris on piano, Ian Bradshaw on banjo/guitar and Phil Rutherford, a long time member of the West Jesmond Rhythm Kings, on sousaphone.
Tickets for our 13th Birthday party are now on sale at £10 for members and £12.50 for guests, prices include substantial finger buffet.

All club nights now commence at 7.30pm. Full bar available, tea and coffee as usual £1 per item.  Admission for members is still at £8 with visitors at £10.  Further information can be  obtained by telephoning Stuart on 01292-590773
